February marks "Go Red" month for the American Heart Association in their campaign to raise awareness about heart disease in women.  I spent a night last week driving around San Diego with AHA BizDev (should be "BizDIVA") superwoman, Emily Harris.  We photographed several buildings around the county, among them the newly revamped U.S. Grant Hotel.

Babette and Malik were married on September 2, at Villa De Amore in Temecula. A month or so ago I wrote about shooting a wedding on a really hot day in Pasadena. Well, this day in Temecula was so much hotter--110 degrees at noon, when I arrived at the estate. Had a great shoot the other afternoon with Kaitlyn and Madelyn Marazoni. We spent the afternoon at their neighborhood park in La Costa (The Ponderosa, baby!) and I basically just chased them around paparazzi-style. Corinne and Scott were married at South Coast Winery in Temecula. Due to a huge accident on I-15 in Temecula, which had traffic backed up from Temecula to Fallbrook, I was about 10 minutes late arriving for my scheduled shoot time. Erik and Heloisa were married on Friday, April 13 (yes, Friday the 13th). The ceremony was held at a small Catholic church in Pt. Loma that does half of the mass in Portuguese and half in English. I'm pretty pleased with my first real endeavor into combining single images into panoramas in Photoshop. Photoshop comes with Photomerge, a plugin that automates (in most cases) the stiching of separate images into a panorama. With the beautiful fall weather we had last weekend, I headed down to Marine Street in La Jolla to shoot Erik and Heloisa's engagement photos. Barely a soul on the beach this day and not a *breath* of wind. Erik and Heloisa are a beautiful couple and I had a great time working with them.

After 20 years in business, Dave and Sue Olson closed Olyo's Pizza on October 20, 2006. An Encinitas landmark is gone.My buddies and I spent many nights eating, drinking, and telling stories on their famed wooden benches. Sarah and Greg were married at the beautiful Las Brisas Del Valle resort in Ensenada, BC. The resort is in a winery-rich valley nestled in the hills east of Ensenda. Made it. As usual, smooth sailing once I made it through Tijuana. What a pit. Nice day for a drive down the 1--crystal clear and not a lot of people on the road. Can't even believe there's a wireless connection in this room.The turn for Punta Morro is at K 106, which is the only KM marker that I saw that wasn't the standard metal. It was chicken-scratch on a piece of wood. Needless to say,

Heading to Mexico today for the wedding of Sarah and Greg, held at the Las Brisas resort in the wine country east of Ensenada. Should be beautiful and I'm looking forward to making some great images of Sarah and Greg.I'll post some images when I get back on Sunday.
