Santa Maria Kids!

So one of my oldest friends, Pete, and his wife Jennifer just added a little girl to their growing family. Her name is Payten and she is just adorable. Pete and I went for a surf in the morning and then headed over to his house for the shoot. Their 2-year old son, Carter, is such a ham and had a great time mugging for the camera.

Sara and Phil engagement shoot

Had a great time shooting Sara and Phil's engagement photos this past Saturday. We had some great afternoon/evening light at the USD campus (their ceremony is at the Immaculata). Hadn't been there since I was in school there and man, has it grown. New buildings everywhere. Joan Kroc and Jenny Craig had a few extra mil laying around and decided to give it to USD.

Hey Joan and Jenny! Throw me a bone why dontcha?!

Wedding of Lyn and Robert

Interesting story of how I booked this wedding...

My wife and I were looking to have the windows and sliding glass doors in our new home upgraded from the old, aluminum single-pane windows to the new vinyl, double-paned windows. We contacted a few companies, got some bids, and one of the companies who bid was represented by Robert.

We got to talking and during the course of conversation, I told him I was a wedding photographer. Low and behold, Robert and Lyn were getting married soon. It was going to be a very small, intimate affair with close friends and family. To make a long story short, Robert and I were able to "work a deal" (wink wink) so we got some kick-ass windows and he and Lyn got some kick-ass wedding images.

Here are some of my faves.

Wedding of Emily and Chris

Emily and Chris were married at Mt. Woodson Resort on a hot and sticky Labor Day. Emily and Chris were really great to work with, they didn't even act surprised when I grabbed two golf carts and headed out for a fun portrait session on the golf course. Special thanks to videographer Noah Taffollo for being a great guy to work with.

Please be patient while the image load. I had a lot of faves ;)
