Ummmm... okay.

Ladies and gentleman, I present to you, Miss Teen South Carolina!

And I think the dude who's emceeing the event is Mario Lopez, of "Saved by the Bell" fame. At the very end of the clip, watch his face as he struggles to keep from laughing.

AM Emme

Shot these images of Emme this morning. These were shot over about 1 minute at around 7 AM. When she woke, I opened up the drapes and the window and this beautiful light splashed upon her. I love her blond mop and her tattered Billabong tank-top.

Quinten Sylvester

Spent a little while on Saturday afternoon shooting Quinten Sylvester's 6-month pictures! Actually he's 7 months, but who's counting. Quinten is growing like a weed and doing all the typical things that babies his age do: rolls over, smiles, new teeth, eats sand and dirt.

MadCap getting some ink, baby!

MadCap software, the company Jen works for, got some killer press in today's Union-Tribune. Sweet!

Way to go, propeller-heads!

Wedding of Trisha and Spyro

Trisha and Spyro were married on July 28 at St. Sophia in downtown Los Angeles. The reception was held at the Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel and Spa in Pasadena. On this day, Pasadena seemed only slightly cooler than the sun, but Trisha and Spyro were rockstars and did a fantastic job!

Special thanks to coordinator Mistyka Garcia of SOI Events for helping everything run smoothly! Also, kudos to my associate photographer Mark (who's based in LA), for his great eye and GPS-like navigation from the hotel to the church and back.

Wedding of Jordy and Pepe

Jordan and Pepe were married on July 21, 2007. The ceremony was held at Sunset Cliffs and the reception was held on the upstairs portion of the Berkeley, an old steamboat in San Diego Harbor. The downstairs of the boat serves as the San Diego Maritime Museum.

Jordy and Pepe were fantastic. They were a unique couple for me in that both are hearing-impaired. The was a good mix of hearing and non-hearing wedding guests, so the ceremony was officiated in sign language and vocalized by two interpreters.

Verbal communication with my subjects during a shoot is a big part of the way I work, so it was a challenge in that respect when working with them. I don't know the sign for "kissing", so I just tapped my fingertips to my lips... seemed to work fine, as you can tell :-)

Jordy and Pepe are going to go on to huge things, I just know it. Best of luck, guys!
