Fine Kids

While I'm here making up for seriously lagging on blogging (or, "blagging"), I thought I'd post some images I shot of Connor and Jared Fine. Connor and Jared are the sons of Mike and Janelle Fine. Mike is the older brother of Greg, one of my longtime buddies. Mike is also super-tech-dude and owner of Fine Technology Solutions. Between helping me with a RAID storage solution, we hit the park for some photos of the kids.

Giacinti Family

The day after Christmas I shot a quick family photo of the Giacinti family. I've known the Giacinti kids (Mike, Lisa, and Lori) for years through mutual friends. This image was shot on a beautiful early-winter afternoon at San Dieguito Park. There was a group of guys playing a makeshift game of disc golf, so I had one eye through the shutter and the other eye in the sky, looking out for wayward Frisbees.

WSJ Shoot -- Sentek Consulting

Here's an image Eric Basu, CEO of Sentek Consulting. This image is for the Wall Street Journal, which is doing a piece on his company, focusing on the company's ability to grow with a relatively low in-office staff (many of the employees are remote).

Special thanks to my old colleague and PR maestro, David Oates of Stalwart Communications.

Nico and Dana Engagement Shoot

Just before Christmas, I had the pleasure of shooting Nico and Dana's engagement images. They're getting married up in Berkeley in September, but were in town over the holiday so we thought it would be great to squeeze in a little shoot amidst the standard holiday chaos. The shoot started underneath the marquee of the landmark La Paloma Theater, then ended at every Encinitas kid's home beach, Moonlight Beach.

I've known Nico since the 7th grade and he's one of kindest, talented people you would ever want to meet. After high school everyone goes their separate ways, but Nico and I would always hook up through mutual friends and have a great time. The last time I saw Nico and Dana was a few years back while playing a round of golf, and Nico rear-ended his and Dana's cart into the back of another cart, sending Dana into the vinyl windshield. Luckily, everyone was okay (except for a few bruised egos).
