Canned Heat Comin' Atcha!

Been meaning to post this for a while...

Emme got a ukulele for Christmas and, although she's only in air-guitar phase now, she's pretty well ahead of the curve when it comes to stage style.

Nancy and Richard

Nancy and Richard Martin were married on Friday, February 15 at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe.  Richard is the father of Erik and Brett, who have been good friends of mine for over 15 years.  It was an honor for me to be with the Martins and Nancy's extended family on their wedding day.

Special thanks to LaVonne Zamora of Adorations Botanical Artistry for creating such beautiful floral arrangements.  Also thanks to Liz at the Inn for making sure everything ran smoothly, and to Matt Kriegsfeld of La Jolla Disc Jockeys for kicking the sweet tunes.

Personal Work

Thought I'd post some personal work I've done over the last 3-4 months.

Surf check at Seaside

Shannon and Ryan maternity shoot

The best thing about being a wedding photographer is building relationships with my clients that last well beyond the wedding date. Shannon and Ryan were married in March of 2006 and are now expecting their first child, Isabella Shannon, in about 3 weeks. It was so great to see such a wonderful couple ready to embark on parenthood. I just know they are going to be awesome parents and I'm so stoked for them.

INT Surfboards--New Building

Got a call from Indo supercharger Dustin Campbell a few days ago, requesting some images of their new building for a press release.  After some images of the outside, it was time to hit the warehouse and get funky with some remote lighting.

Go Red Time!

February marks "Go Red" month for the American Heart Association in their campaign to raise awareness about heart disease in women.  I spent a night last week driving around San Diego with AHA BizDev (should be "BizDIVA") superwoman, Emily Harris.  We photographed several buildings around the county, among them the newly revamped U.S. Grant Hotel.

Tiffany and Steve

So, totally lagged on blogging have I (quick Yoda impression).  I've spent the last few weeks ramping up some marketing material, having my logo redesigned, redesigning my Web site's splash page, and a whole lot of other non-shoot related stuff.

So, I was really stoked to get back in the saddle and head out for my engagement shoot with Tiffany and Steve.  They're getting married February 23 at Hotel Las Rocas in Mexico.  Tiffany and mother and brother have been friends with my family for years.  She and Steve (andtheir dog, Winston) were fantastic on the shoot.  Thanks guys!
